Alejandro "Alex" Nuñez Alejandro Nuñez (know as Alex) was born in Cuba. He is a Graphic Designer and painter, specializing in Murals, Faux Finish, custom art, and custom framing. Nunez studied graphic design at Cuba’s Technical Institute of Design. He worked as a graphic designer for the National Institute of Tourism before moving to Costa Rica in 1995 and opening a graphic design studio. In 1999 he moved with his family to Florida. People can see some of his colorful murals throughout downtown Bonita Springs.
Maria Abela Maria was born in Cuba. She is part of the third generation of Cuban Artists (grandaughter of Eduardo Abela Villarreal, daughter of Eduardo Abela Alonso and sister of Eduardo Abela Torras, all of them renowned painters in Cuba). After moving to Costa Rica and raising her firstborn daughter, she met Alex in 1995 and had a second daughter. They all moved to the United States in 1999. She and Alex opened West Coast Art and Design in Bonita Springs, FL. She employs her knowledge in art and interior design to help clients with their art framing needs.
